mDESK8 is a STQC & PIV certified fingerprint and IRIS sensor for maximum accuracy and security. In terms of capacity, the device can support up to 3,000 fingerprint users and up to 3,000 card users. It can support up to 100,000 fingerprint templates/photos and an amazing transaction capacity of 100,000,000,000 items to ensure maximum usability and performance of mDESK8. The device has a 2.8-inch color touchscreen which serves as the main control unit of the device. It also provides access to various functions quickly, such as checking attendance that can be enabled or disabled depending on the function. QR code reading capability is integrated with a built-in 5MP parabolic autofocus camera and a 2MP fixed focus camera.

mDESK8 is powered by a Mediatek MT8735V/W Quad-core processor and comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, expandable up to 64GB. This powerful connectivity ensures optimal system performance and space. It is enough to store biometric data using Android Marshmallow so that programmers can design unique applications based on their specific needs based on fingerprints. For security purposes, the mDESK8 comes with two IRIS scanners for proper identification using fingerprints and IRIS recognition. The device supports both 1:1 and 1: N recognition modes which makes it suitable for all forms of identification.

mDESK8 has a wide range of connectivity capabilities TCP-IP, WiFi (optional) and RS485 interfaces for integration into existing systems. It also has a USB interface for forward connection which accepts the FAT32 file system to share files efficiently and smoothly. This feature of the device allows printing via Bluetooth. In terms of user convenience, mDESK8 has alarms for notifications and power management along with the possibility of sleep mode.
